Raise your intelligence
Besides the strategies discussed so far, have you ever thought that you could improve your own intelligence? Improve your own sixth sense for studying so that you could exchange the information between your mind and outside resources? Have you thought about improving your hunch so you always get it, get it, and get it?
Where do the hunches come from? They could come from creative imagination, friendship, or love.
When a student studies with another of the opposite sex, he/she may have a stronger desire to speak with that student if he/she finds the student physically attractive. As they communicate, fondness may grow and a friendship may result. When emotion is added to liking the other person, a studentâs mind may become more open to possibilitiesâtheir finite thinking is supplanted by their âinfiniteâ intelligence, because their minds have been stimulated. Under such a circumstance, a normal student can become a genius student. Studentsâ energy can become higher under the influence of students of the opposite sex.
David was a below-average high school student. His attitude was laidback, and he never finished homework on time. When his mother checked up on his academic progress, he felt like she was nagging; she stressed him out. Her anger over his low grades was evident. Finally, she was stressed too because she worried he would not be admitted to any universities. Davidâs mother hired a tutor, a first-year university student named Jennifer. Jennifer had long, curly hair, was very tall, and came from a European family. She smiled so much, people often believed she had nothing to worry about and that she was the luckiest girl in the world.
Not even two tutoring sessions had passed, and David had changed his attitude toward studying. He became focused on his schoolwork; he felt that studying was an interesting thing to do. When Jennifer gave him an assignment, he always completed it on time. Occasionally, if he had some questions or did not know how to do the assignment, he was motivated to call Jennifer and ask her for help.
David arrived to his tutoring sessions fifteen minutes early and began arriving to school a bit earlier too. Also, he no longer needed his mother to remind him (or ânagâ him, as he used to call it) to complete his schoolwork. Davidâs change of heart was all due to the fact that he liked Jennifer for her positive attitude and charming personality. Simply put, he could not wait to attend his tutoring session with her.
By the end of high school, David performed well on his examination and was ranked number three in his class. He had become a confident student who quickly grasped concepts in the classroom and no longer needed to spend great amounts of time studying outside of it. He had become an academic ânatural.â His transformation was amazing. He even began to help other students.
It is undeniable: A positive interaction between students of the opposite sex can stimulate a student to perform well academically.
